My name is Zachary Ward and I aspire to one day be a big part of fashion, however crazy that dream may be I will not rest until I have achieved it. For now I will blog about my experiences with fashion and hope that people may begin to recognise me and my designs. Jeremy Scott FW 2011 in specifics
This collection was a little bit crazy but it's actually one of my favourites. Femme-punk on acid with a super hero twist and a hint of religion, that's the general theme I think. Neon colours and crazy textures, "Enjoy God" and super hero logos plastered onto the models chests, it all sounds a little scary and possibly garish but what it really offered was something interesting and something fun. As I've said before I've found this season a little drab so far but this is far from drab.
My favourite piece had to be the over-ruffled jumpsuit, yes I know that many ruffles are usually considered an eyesore but I think Jeremy Scott knew this and took that challenge head on, and I'd say he pulled it off, that belt at the wasit to sinch it in works perfectly and the whole piece has amazing volume. Apart from that it's the colours and textures that attracted my eyes, normaly I would feel sick at such a garish display but somehow this collection just worked.
