Versace FW 2011 in specifics.

The Versace Fall/Winter show was just yesterday and some wonderful pieces made an appearance, just a few are shown above. The accessories were possibly my favourite so far this season, there's been so many (in my opinion quite ugly) flatforms on the runways this season and seeing some nice high heeled boots and the bags were beautiful too. The clothes themselves were also something to awe at, short to long, plain to patterned it was all quite spectacular. Donatella Versace said that she looked back to one of her brothers collections which had been inspired by military uniforms and this inspiration clearly shows through. She also wanted to experiment with flowers, and chose the simple pattern of a tulip, saying that roses are too dramatic. I wasn't really a fan of this aspect, the printed pieces were definitely not my favourite.
However as the collection proceeded and the evening gowns came into view I was amazed, the first of the evening gowns, a long white dress with a buttoned up shoulder embraced the runway and I must say I loved it.
